Tulipwood is a classic high quality wood, very dense with a lovely figure. It is used for inlays in furniture and small turned items. Tulipwood is not to be confused with the tuliptree, which is American poplar. The heartwood has irregular streaks of yellow rose, pink and violet on a straw colored background. Northeastern Brazil. 25x12x9mm. 3.18mm hole.
